What does "encapsulated" actually mean?
Each active is packaged inside a polymeric nanocapsule sized 100–250 nm. The capsule protects the active from oxidation, controls when it releases, and helps it pass through the lipid channels between skin cells. Without encapsulation, only about 12% of these actives would reach the viable epidermis. With encapsulation, 67% does.
Is bakuchiol really as effective as retinol?
For most users on Asian and Southeast Asian skin, yes — without the barrier disruption and PIH risk that retinol can cause on melanin-rich skin. In our 12-week study, 98% of participants showed no inflammatory response.
Can I use it during the day under sunscreen?
Yes. Unlike retinol, bakuchiol does not increase photosensitivity. The serum is engineered for both morning and night use.
